Montgomery College, Rockville Campus, is seeking candidates for a Full-Time Librarian II position in the Research and Teaching division. The regular work schedule is 40 hours a week, Monday – Friday, 8:33 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., allowing for flexibility to accommodate one evening shift per week, and an occasional Saturday as required. This is a non-bargaining, exempt, grade 29 position. This position is currently eligible for telework one (1) day per week. This eligibility is subject to change based on the needs of the unit. The primary responsibilities of this role are to provide professional research assistance and a wide range of information services to library users, who are students, faculty, staff, and community patrons. This includes providing formal instruction on information literacy topics, in the classroom and one-on-one. This position will be a member of the Arts, English & Reading, and Humanities librarian liaison team, providing outreach and support to faculty and students in these discipline areas. This position is also the coordinator for the Research & Teaching division’s online learning tools, which requires the incumbent in this position to lead instructional design initiatives in support of teaching and learning; manage workplans for review, creation and maintenance of digital learning objects; participate in assessment activities; and lead periodic discussions about learning tools within the Research & Teaching division.
