About The Position

Exercises independent discretion and judgement in claims handling involving complex liability issues, to include coverage issues and severe injury claims. This is a remote, work from home position; travel could be required into the branch office for events and/or meetings. The successful candidate must reside within a reasonable driving distance to any Pennsylvania Branch Office.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Five years casualty claims adjusting experience or equivalent experience in the medical or legal field required.
• Broad knowledge and expertise in the areas of liability coverages, laws and injuries required.
• Position requires incumbents to provide support for property claims during periods of heavy volume.
• Valid driver's license required.

Nice To Haves

• Associates or bachelor's degree preferred.
• Completion of Associate in Claims (AIC) program preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conducts investigations, evaluate and make recommendations regarding coverage and liability.
• Handles claims involving complex liability, damages or coverages.
• Negotiates with all parties, or their representatives, within designated authority.
• Documents the file and submits reports.
• Identifies subrogation opportunities and initiates appropriate action.
• Completes required training.
• Provides support for property claims during periods of heavy volume.
• Trains and mentors.
• Travel for training may be required.
