Liability Claims Examiner
About The Position
The Liability Claims Examiner analyzes General Liability, Auto Liability, and Premises claims on behalf of clients to determine benefits due. The role ensures claims are adjudicated according to service expectations, industry best practices, and specific client service requirements. The examiner investigates claims, evaluates exposure, develops action plans, negotiates settlements within designated authority, communicates with claimants and clients, and reports claims to excess carriers. The position requires multi-jurisdictional knowledge and a license; New York licensing is preferred.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Five years of claims management experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, required.
- Knowledge of multiple jurisdictions.
- Claims licensing required.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
- Professional certification applicable to the line of business preferred.
- New York licensing preferred.
Responsibilities
- Analyze and process claims through action plans that support appropriate and timely resolution.
- Investigate claims and gather information to determine exposure.

- Communicate claim activity and processing with claimants and clients.
- Report claims to excess carriers and respond professionally and promptly to requests for directions.
