SCR Mining and Tunnelling is currently seeking experienced and safety-focused LHD & Haul Truck Operators to join our underground mining operations team at Bissett, Manitoba. Successful candidates must have the ability to safely operate scoops and haul trucks while ensuring materials are transported and delivered promptly and efficiently. There are multiple existing vacancies for this position.
Requirements
- Minimum two (2) years of related haul truck or heavy equipment operating experience
- Experience working in an underground mining environment required
- Strong understanding of safe work practices in mining operations
- Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions
- Positive attitude with the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
- Strong work ethic and commitment to safety and productivity
- Candidates must be legally authorized to work in Canada at the time of application.
- Employer sponsorship or work permit support is not available for this role.
Responsibilities
- Operate heavy scoops and/or haul trucks safely in accordance with company policies, site procedures, and safety regulations
- Transport ore, waste rock, and other materials throughout the mine site
- Conduct pre-operational inspections and complete required documentation
- Report mechanical issues, hazards, incidents, or unsafe conditions promptly
- Maintain communication with dispatch, supervisors, and other equipment operators
- Follow production targets while maintaining safe operating practices
- Work effectively in varying weather and site conditions
- Support overall site housekeeping and operational efficiency
- Maintain physical and mental fitness for duty at all times
- Follow instructions provided by supervisors and site leadership
