About The Position

This is a 1099 contract, fee-for-service position for pre-licensed therapists (LSW, LAPC, LAMFT) in Pennsylvania. The role involves providing competent and affirming psychotherapy services, primarily to the LGBTQIA+ community, individuals in diverse relationship types (like ethical non-monogamy), and other marginalized identities. The position offers a unique hybrid model combining telehealth and in-office work. Open Space CCW emphasizes a community-driven approach, focusing on liberation, equity, and collective well-being in mental health care. They aim to dismantle barriers to affirming wellness services and entrepreneurship, providing built-in business mentorship and coaching to support independent contractors in running their practices. This role is ideal for clinicians who want to grow their careers in a space that aligns with their values and offers support in business management, financial boundaries, and professional development.

Requirements

Are either pre-licensed (LSW, LAPC, LAMFT) or fully licensed (LCSW, LPC, LMFT) in the state of Pennsylvania.
Care deeply about equity, access, and truly affirming care.
Practice from a liberation-focused, systems-aware, anti-oppressive lens.
Have professional and/or lived experience working with marginalized communities.
Want to build your own business without having to figure it all out alone.
Are ready to grow inside a space that’s transparent, imperfect, and always evolving.
Are ready to commit to an intention of at least one year here as you build, grow, and settle into your practice.
Must include "I have found my type of peeps." at the top of the cover letter when applying.

Nice To Haves

Preferably are looking to do around 20-25 billed sessions/week. (But we’re flexible on this number! Our minimum is 12+ billed sessions/week.)
Experience and passion in LGBTQIA+ affirming and competent care
Experience and passion in BIPOC mental health and racial identity exploration
Experience and passion in Ethical non-monogamy, polyamory, and sexuality-affirming therapy
Experience and passion in Neurodivergent-affirming and neurodivergent-informed practices
Experience and passion in Trauma-informed, social justice-oriented, identity-centered care
Experience and passion in Working with clients who have always felt “othered” or left out of traditional therapy
Experience and passion in Therapy that acknowledges the systems we’re navigating—not just the symptoms we’re managing

Responsibilities

Provide competent and affirming psychotherapy services with the LGBTQIA+ community, diverse relationship types (i.e. ethical non-monogamy), other marginalized identities, and self-selected clients within your clinical scope and licensure.
Timely completion of clinical records in the provided HIPAA-compliant EHR within 48 hours of session.
Maintain accurate clinical records ongoing in compliance with HIPAA.
Carry and furnish proof of professional liability (malpractice) insurance.
Maintain proper PA professional licensure and abide by all laws, rules, regulations, and codes of ethics that are applicable to the services performed at Open Space CCW, and stay current with best practices in mental health care.
Offer telehealth services in a HIPAA-compliant, private environment.
