About The Position

Debtwire, a leading provider of global fixed income news, analysis and data for more than two decades, is looking for a senior reporter/editor with a track record of breaking news in leveraged finance to spearhead our coverage in North America. Working on the news desk in New York, the candidate will be expected to generate scoops on developments in the primary market for leveraged loans and high yield bonds along with private credit. You will chronicle the push and pull between syndicated and private credit as borrowers and financial sponsors look to secure the best terms for financing, particularly for AI data centers, leveraged buyouts and refinancing maturing debt. Debtwire journalists are expected to use their own initiative to uncover leads from market sources at asset managers, law firms, banks and beyond, but also collaborate extensively with fellow reporters and analysts across Debtwire, Mergermarket and Infralogic globally to break news in a highly competitive space. The position offers the opportunity for travel and moderating at conferences.
