About The Position

ADB Companies is a nationwide provider of turnkey technology infrastructure solutions. ADB Wireless is seeking a Level II Tower Technician to climb and maneuver on wireless structures safely and efficiently under the direct supervision of senior tower professionals. The position also assists with the training and development of Level I Technicians. This role involves installing, repairing, and maintaining communications tower equipment, including antennas, microwave dishes, RRUs, cables, and lighting systems. The technician uses hand tools and mechanical equipment, follows tower-safety procedures, and develops skills with guidance from experienced technicians and foremen. Nationwide travel is required. The work takes place in varied physical positions and weather conditions, with required protective equipment when onsite. The starting pay is listed as “[X amount]” and may vary based on skills, experience, and qualifications.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Valid driver license and clean driving record required.
Ability to climb cell phone towers 100 feet and higher using climbing gear, a harness, and safety gear while following safety procedures.
Ability to travel nationwide.
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Knowledge of public safety and security issues and regulations.
Strong time-management, accountability, prioritization, organization, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and adapt to diverse team members.
Strong work ethic, self-motivation, goal orientation, and commitment to company mission, vision, and values.
Must complete a selection assessment and pre-employment drug screen.

Nice To Haves

2 or more years of experience in a career field associated with Wireless Technologies.
First Aid/CPR certification.
RF Awareness Training.
OSHA 10 certification.

Responsibilities

Lay out and install an ice bridge and use cad welds properly.
Build a tower platform on the ground and install it on the tower with exposure to a cathead.
Route and secure hybrid cables and hybrid jumpers.
Fabricate steel in the field and on the tower.
Wire in Raycaps and install Flash Technology lighting controllers.
Troubleshoot fiber, power, and RF issues using PIM/Sweep gear and a fiber tester.
Take pre-construction and closeout photos.
Rig a tower in a Class III rigging scenario.
Climb communications towers to maintain, install, replace, and repair antenna-system equipment.
Install microwave dishes, antennas, RRUs, and other wireless equipment on towers.
Use and maintain hand tools and mechanical equipment.
Follow safety procedures while working on towers and around construction equipment, energized lines, and equipment.
Develop skills with guidance from experienced technicians and foremen in accordance with the Career Advancement Matrix.
Assist with the training and development of Level I Technicians.
Accurately analyze situations and select an appropriate course of action.
Perform other duties when requested by leadership.
