About The Position

MISTRAS Group, Inc. has an immediate need for a Level II PAUT Technician local to the Corpus Christi, TX area for a full-time position. The role requires the technician to be willing to travel approximately 50% of the time. The technician will be responsible for setting up and calibrating equipment, conducting tests using the Phased Array NDT technique, and interpreting, evaluating, and documenting results. They must be thoroughly familiar with the scope and limitations of their certified methods and capable of directing the work of trainees and Level I personnel. Additionally, the technician must be familiar with the codes, standards, and contractual documents that control the NDT methods used by the employer. Other assignments and responsibilities may be assigned by management.

Requirements

  • Level II PAUT (manual and encoded PAUT required)
  • Level II AUT
  • Level II MT, PT
  • Graduate of a specialized NDT technical program meeting SNT-TC1A for one or all of the following is required: PAUT
  • Prior certification as an UTSW NDE Level II with one (1) year experience or prior certification as Level II per SNT-TC1A standards on all or one (1) of the following is required; Phased Array, UTSW
  • High School graduate or equivalent required.

Responsibilities
