About The Position

Acture Solutions is seeking a Level II Network & Systems Technician to join their Onsite Services team supporting a public-sector client on Eastern Long Island. This role offers an opportunity for an experienced desktop support professional to expand their systems and network administration skills while working with a collaborative team of senior engineers. The position involves supporting end users, managing Microsoft 365, troubleshooting network issues, deploying devices, and participating in infrastructure improvement projects. Requirements

  • Minimum three (3) years of desktop support experience
  • Minimum two (2) years supporting Microsoft server and network environments
  • CompTIA A+ Certification
  • CompTIA Network+ Certification
  • Experience supporting: Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), Microsoft 365, Windows Server, TCP/IP networking, DNS and DHCP, Google Workspace
  • Experience deploying and imaging endpoint devices
  • Strong troubleshooting and customer service skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently in an onsite environment
  • A valid driver’s license and fingerprinting check are required

Nice To Haves

  • CompTIA Security+
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
  • Experience with VMware vSphere or Hyper-V
  • Experience with Intune, Jamf, or Google Admin MDM
  • Previous experience supporting K–12 organizations, municipal organizations, or Managed Service Providers (MSPs)
  • Basic PowerShell scripting experience

Responsibilities

  • Provide desktop and technical support for end users
  • Administer Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID user accounts, groups, and permissions
  • Support Microsoft 365, including Exchange Online, Teams, and SharePoint
  • Deploy, image, configure, and troubleshoot Windows PCs, Chromebooks, laptops, and tablets
  • Administer endpoint management platforms such as Intune, Jamf, or Google Admin
  • Troubleshoot network connectivity, wireless access points, switches, routers, DNS, and DHCP
  • Assist with Windows Server administration, patching, and virtualization environments
  • Support backup verification and disaster recovery processes
  • Maintain technical documentation and asset inventory
  • Support audio/visual equipment and VoIP systems
  • Participate in hardware refreshes, infrastructure upgrades, and technology projects
  • Collaborate with senior engineers to resolve escalated technical issues and implement new technologies
