About The Position
Centurion is seeking a part-time Level 1 Medication Aide to join their team at Potosi Correctional Center in Mineral Point, Missouri. This role involves administering medications as prescribed under the direction of the facility Director of Nursing or their designee. The Medication Aide will also document medication effectiveness and any observed adverse actions or side effects.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Must maintain current tuberculosis documentation.
- Must maintain active CPR/AED certification.
- Must be able to pass a background investigation and obtain agency security clearance where applicable.
- If not already Level 1 Medication Aide certified – applicant must successfully complete internal level one medication aide and insulin training to maintain employment beyond probationary period.
Nice To Haves
- Current active Level 1 Medication Aide certification from the Department of Health and Senior Services (DHSS) or the Department of Mental Health (DMH) which may also be referred to as DD Medication Aide.
- Insulin certification.
- One year experience in acute care, emergency or correctional setting.
