About The Position

PeopleTec is currently seeking a Lethality Test Engineer to support our Huntsville, AL location. PeopleTec is seeking a motivated individual who is interested in joining an award-winning company and working with cutting-edge technologies to include testing, lethality, debris characterization, and missile defense. The selected candidate will be a member of our dynamic Huntsville team and will work on projects involving testing, data analysis, and M&S. Our team supports state-of-the-art projects, blending engineering skills to perform lethality and debris research and analysis. Team members work with a wide-ranging group of customers to understand project requirements and develop innovative and creative solutions to address the nation’s most pressing challenges. The successful candidate will be an adaptable, agile, multi-talented, and versatile engineer who is a consummate team player capable of researching, analyzing, and engineering solutions to meet customer demands for testing, planning, analysis, algorithm creation, and software development. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, possess effective communication skills, and be able to fill multiple engineering roles.

Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Applicant will be required to obtain and maintain at least a Secret security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in science or engineering or scientific field of study from an accredited college or university.
  • Experience using CAD software.
  • Experience using MATLAB and/or writing and using scripts (e.g., Python) to automate data analysis.
  • Experience supporting missile defense lethality tests, debris tests, and analysis of data from such tests.

Responsibilities

  • Ability to perform lethality and debris analysis that will support the development of truth model algorithms
  • Support planning, execution, and data analysis for weapon testing
  • Provide post test analysis including debris characterization through careful reviews of test data, models, and pre-test predictions
  • Familiarity with statistical methods to aid in determining truth phenomena based on test data and M&S
  • Sound oral communication and technical writing skills and the ability to clearly communicate technical approaches and findings to the team and the government customer
  • The ability and desire to work in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment
