About The Position

Southern Bancorp Community Partners (soon to be Uplift Capital Partners) is a different kind of lender. As a non-profit Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI), a special certification designated for institutions that serve predominantly underserved communities, Southern Bancorp Community Partners combines lending with financial development tools and public policy advocacy to help families and communities grow stronger. The SBCP Lending Assistant is responsible for an assigned range of loan operations duties required to service SBCP’s loan portfolio in accordance with the loan policy and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent is required
• At least one-year experience in banking or administrative role is required
• Strong computer skills are required
• Ability to organize information
• Must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Must be familiar with regulatory compliance requirements
• Able to function in a high attention to detail, deadline-oriented environment
• Must possess the ability to effectively relate to customers, officers, and others involved in the lending process.
• Willingness to be involved and represent SBCP through civic and community organizations.

Nice To Haves

• A background in banking and loan transactions/terminology and clerical experience is preferred

Responsibilities

• Uploads all loans, extensions, and renewal information and documents in accordance with policy and regulatory requirements
• Performs loan maintenance
• Loan documentation review
• May assist with file assembly and maintenance
• Responsible for various reports as assigned
• Completes all required training
• Performs other related duties as required or assigned
