Requirements

Four years of professional and varied governmental experience which included at least three years of work in legislative or policy analysis; and a bachelor's degree; or Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
Possess a valid federal or state-issued photo ID.
Able to perform essential job functions.

Nice To Haves

Experience in varied office management or staff work
Highest level of education such as doctorate, master's degree, bachelor's degree, associate's degree, some college, high school diploma or GED, or other
Experience working with executive or legislative constituent or customer concerns
Experience in preparing legislative or customer service responses
Experience with administrative or computer software applications such as database tracking

Responsibilities

Track, review, and coordinate inquiries from executive and legislative offices
Respond to verbal and written questions by gathering information and preparing clear replies
Analyze legislation, regulations, and policies to support accurate and timely responses
Represent the department at legislative and governmental meetings, hearings, and briefings
Develop recommendations regarding laws and regulatory changes that impact the department’s mission and operations
Work with staff, program areas, and external partners to ensure accurate submissions and timely communication
