About The Position

The Connecticut General Assembly’s nonpartisan Office of Legislative Research seeks a full-time Legislative Analyst II. This role involves staffing legislative committees, analyzing bills and public acts, drafting policy research reports, and preparing written and verbal responses to research questions from legislators and caucus staff. The position requires superior writing, research, and analytical skills, along with nonpartisanship, sound judgment, attention to detail, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The ability to work under pressure and willingness to work extensive overtime during legislative sessions are also necessary.
