About The Position

The Legends Server is responsible for greeting guests, taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring a positive dining experience. This role requires excellent customer service skills, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and adherence to company policies and procedures. The server will also be responsible for clearing tables, refilling drinks, and maintaining a professional demeanor at all times. Hours are determined by a 24-hour schedule, and the position may be full-time or part-time.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 18 years of age or older upon employment.
  • Able to carry and balance a service tray.
  • Legible handwriting.
  • Basic knowledge of menu prices and composition of food and beverage menu items, daily specials, and proper placing procedures.
  • Team player.
  • Must present a well-groomed and professional appearance.
  • Must possess excellent communication skills.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Must be able to respond to visual and oral cues.
  • Ability to write routine correspondence and to speak effectively to the public, employees, and customers.
  • Ability to deal effectively and interact well with customers and employees.
  • Ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
  • Must be able to be approved for and maintain a valid gaming license.
  • Applicants must be able to substantiate a safe driving record within the parameters acceptable to our liability insurance carrier.
  • Employment is contingent upon a favorable outcome of a background investigation and drug screening.

  • Prior food server experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Greets guests at assigned tables and ensures each guest needs are met.
  • Returns to each assigned table periodically to ascertain whether additional items are desired.
  • Clears empty plates as guests have completed each course.
  • Serves food and beverages to guests where appropriate.
  • Ushers guests to their tables.
  • Adheres to regulatory, departmental, and company policies in an ethical manner.
  • Refills water, coffee, and other drinks upon request of guests.
  • Provides exceptional customer service to all patrons and communicates in a pleasant, friendly, and professional manner at all times.
  • Maintains a professional work environment with supervisors and staff.
  • Meets attendance guidelines and adheres to regulatory, departmental, and company policies.
  • Attends all necessary training meetings.
  • Assists in other projects, as directed.
  • Works nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
