About The Position

Price Benowitz LLP is seeking a skilled Legal Writer to support our growing Personal Injury Practice Group. This role is ideal for a strong legal writer who enjoys drafting persuasive litigation materials, conducting legal research, and collaborating closely with attorneys in a fast-paced litigation environment.

Requirements

JD degree or equivalent legal qualification preferred
2–4 years of legal writing, litigation support, or related experience
Strong legal research and analytical writing skills
Familiarity with litigation procedures and legal terminology
Experience with Bluebook citation standards
Knowledge of personal injury litigation in Maryland, Virginia, and/or Washington, DC preferred
Experience with SmartAdvocate or similar case management software preferred
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to handle confidential information appropriately, including awareness of AI-related confidentiality considerations
Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

Draft and revise litigation materials including motions, complaints, discovery requests and responses, legal memoranda, and briefs
Conduct legal research using LexisNexis and similar research platforms
Review, proofread, and edit legal documents for clarity, accuracy, and compliance
Ensure filings comply with jurisdiction-specific court rules and formatting requirements
Collaborate with attorneys to support litigation strategy and case development
Manage multiple writing assignments and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Translate complex legal concepts into concise, persuasive written materials
