About The Position

We are seeking a Legal Talent Partner to take ownership of critical and challenging hires as we scale across the UK and US. This role involves developing and executing recruitment strategies for Legal Engineers and Legal Solutions Architects, who are specialists combining deep real estate legal expertise with the ability to shape AI products. The position is hands-on, ideal for someone who enjoys the recruitment process, understands legal professionals, and is adept at guiding lawyers toward exciting non-practicing careers in legal tech. The role is highly impactful, offering significant ownership from day one and directly contributing to the company's growth by securing specialized talent.

Requirements

  • Experience recruiting lawyers, either in-house, agency, or in legal tech.
  • Understanding of real estate law or the ability to learn it quickly.
  • Fluency to assess legal specialty, seniority, and relevance.
  • Comfort in discussing career changes with lawyers, understanding their motivations and hesitations.
  • Ability to build pipelines and engage passive candidates.
  • Experience in fast-moving, high-growth environments, balancing speed with rigor.
  • Strong storytelling skills to articulate Orbital's value proposition.
  • Structured and data-led approach to recruitment processes.
  • Comfort discussing numbers and data with senior stakeholders.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience hiring for legal tech, legal engineering, legal operations, or other product-adjacent legal roles.
  • Familiarity with US state bar and/or UK qualification routes and the real estate legal world.
  • Experience hiring across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Experience scaling a team through a Series B startup.

Responsibilities

  • Hiring for our legal specialist roles (Legal Engineers and Legal Solutions Architects).
  • Collaborating with Product, GTM, and leadership to define role requirements.
  • Managing full-cycle hiring processes, balancing speed and assessment depth.
  • Acting as the face of Orbital’s legal talent brand.
  • Developing and executing talent attraction strategies and campaigns.
  • Ensuring a positive candidate experience for individuals transitioning into legal tech.
  • Coaching interviewers on assessing legal and technical abilities.
  • Providing market insights on talent availability, expectations, and compensation.
  • Building pipelines by engaging passive candidates and mapping specialist communities.
