The Uniondale office of Cullen and Dykman LLP is seeking a full-time Legal Assistant with 1-5 years of Tort Litigation experience. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; college degree, a plus.
  • At least 1-5 years of tort litigation experience in a law firm preferred.
  • Experience with litigation procedures and processes and familiarity with State and Federal court e-filing systems.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; Proficiency with iManage, a plus.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task.
  • Superior organizational and computer skills.
  • Attention to details a must.
  • Proactiveness, resourcefulness, and a strong work ethic.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
  • Ability to work overtime, as necessary.

Nice To Haves

  • college degree, a plus.
  • Proficiency with iManage, a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Assist attorneys with drafting, editing and organizing pleadings, legal documents and discovery responses in litigation matters.
  • Process medical authorizations and correspond with providers to secure records.
  • Handle administrative tasks such as answering phones and communicating with opposing counsel and court personnel.
  • Maintain electronic and physical files, ensuring accuracy and organization.
