About The Position

Protiviti is looking for a Risk & Compliance Manager to join our growing Lender Due Diligence team. Protiviti’s Financial Services practice is widely recognized as a leading provider of consulting services across the three lines of defense for financial institutions. As a Manager, you’ll partner with our clients to identify and manage risk. You'll develop strategies to solve complex business problems using new ways of thinking, and devise solutions to support your clients' needs through using the latest tools and methods. You’ll develop lasting relationships with client personnel and further these relationships through quality product delivery. You’ll foster a network within the business community and serve as an ambassador of Protiviti in the market. You will also be a mentor and provide performance development to teams as you oversee the successful completion of project work plans. By focusing on clients and engagements in the financial services industry, you’ll partner with highly regulated clients and deepen your expertise in financial services regulations.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience with strong auditing in credit risk and related processes, controls, and reporting for different asset classes.
  • General financial accounting background and experience.
  • Knowledge of receivables (loans, trade, etc.) accounting and transaction processing.
  • Ability to work successfully in a fast-paced, client service focused, consultative work environment and contribute to the engagement team’s success.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline.
  • 5+ years working in internal audit, consulting, assurance services, or related field, either in professional services or industry.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite applications with specific emphasis on Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Secondary emphasis on Visio and Access.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior lender due diligence experience, especially for securitization conduit and/or warehouse facilities.
  • Prior securitization/structured finance experience in any of the various asset classes (ABS, RMBS, CMBS, CLO) with ABS or CLO experience being the most preferred.
  • Professional Certification such as CPA, CIA, FRM, or similar.

Responsibilities

  • Help clients address key credit risks and concerns by performing reviews of the “target” company and the assets that are part of a lending transaction.
  • Contribute to the preparation of client proposals and strategies to win new business.
  • Identify opportunities to integrate product solutions and resources to improve client service capabilities.
  • Perform an agreed-upon set of procedures which may include the evaluation of collateral, the target company’s processes, reporting capabilities and quality of data associated with those assets.
  • Evaluate, summarize, organize, and interpret data.
  • Establish and cultivate business relationships and a professional network, including with senior executives.
  • Pursue business development opportunities and identify and implement strategies to obtain new work or clientele.
  • Translate and communicate Lender Due Diligence issues to client personnel, including executives.
  • Provide leadership and direct supervisory experience of teams including conducting performance appraisals, mentoring and coaching, oversight and review of work, coordination across teams, and understanding how to motivate.
