About The Position

ATA Services Inc. is seeking a Legal Review Supervisor for a temporary assignment in Santa Fe, NM. This role oversees the daily operations of the Caregivers Criminal History Screening Program (CCHSP), ensuring accurate and timely completion of background checks, legal reviews, and fitness determinations. The supervisor will manage a team of up to 10 employees, maintain legal and policy compliance, monitor caseloads, and enhance workflow efficiency.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, sociology, psychology, or a closely related field.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, train, and evaluate legal review staff; assign workloads and monitor productivity, quality, and deadlines.
• Oversee background checks, initial determinations, disqualifications, watch-list files, and daily rap-back processing.
• Ensure initial determinations are completed within 48 hours once all required information is available.
• Maintain accurate case records, tracking systems, and documentation to support compliance and reporting.
• Monitor caseloads, identify backlogs and processing delays, and implement workflow improvements.
• Coordinate timely disqualification notifications and ensure appropriate documentation and procedures are followed.
• Participate in hiring activities and communicate staffing, performance, and operational concerns to the bureau chief.
• Prepare weekly reports on caseloads, completed and pending cases, backlogs, compliance, and program performance.
