Whether understanding and solving their online content concerns, navigating within global legal frameworks, or writing and enforcing worldwide policies. The team enhances the YouTube experience, building internet safety, and protecting free speech in our ever-evolving digital world. As a Legal Policy Specialist, you will work on tasks within the scope of a policy project that have meaningful impact with direct supervision. You will address day-to-day policy issues and develop an understanding of policy development and implementation. You will also engage in community contributions to improve our culture and operations. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience in content moderation, law, policy, operations or related fields.
Nice To Haves
- Experience working with internet technologies and related policy and regulatory environments.
- Experience in content moderation.
- Experience in support operations.
- Experience with SQL and spreadsheets.
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills with attention to detail in an ever-changing environment.
Responsibilities
- Process removal requests efficiently and accurately, including Privacy issues, Defamation issues, court orders, law enforcement requests and requests from government agencies.
- Respond to internal and external customer inquiries regarding YouTube's legal removals processes.
- Work within a team to identify and improve processes, operational quality and scalability.
- Assist in developing internal and external educational materials, and in designing new workflows to support the strategic directions of the business.
- Review graphic, controversial and sometimes offensive video content.
