About The Position
Formlabs is seeking a Legal Intern to support its legal team at its Somerville, Massachusetts location during the summer internship term, which runs May/June through August. The intern will help the company navigate legal matters and support its growth as a technology business. This is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week salaried internship. The role is described as onsite in Somerville with a hybrid arrangement. Applicants must submit a cover letter and current transcript.
Requirements
- Be a current law student who has completed at least the first year of law school.
- Have strong writing skills and efficient legal research skills.
- Be organized and collaborative.
- Be comfortable working with AI tools.

- Previous experience at a law firm or in an in-house legal department.
- Interest in 3D printing, modeling, and/or digital fabrication.
Responsibilities
- Draft and review legal documents, including vendor agreements, data protection agreements, NDAs, and corporate policies.
- Research current legal developments and advise business leaders on compliance strategies.
- Analyze and respond in real time to business concerns with constructive and effective legal support.
- Learn about the operations of a growing technology company and how in-house counsel can shape company culture.
