About The Position

Rosenblum Law is seeking a motivated Legal Intern to support our growing estate planning practice in our Clifton office. This is a hands-on, client-facing role for someone who is serious about pursuing a legal career and wants practical experience working with attorneys, legal documents, signing ceremonies, and estate planning clients. The right candidate will be detail-oriented, comfortable communicating with clients, and able to produce clear and accurate written work. This position is well suited for a current law student, someone preparing to attend law school, or someone actively considering a long-term career in the legal profession.

Requirements

  • Prior experience or exposure to estate planning
  • Strong interest in pursuing a career in law
  • Current law student, prospective law student, recent graduate, or someone actively considering law school
  • Strong English writing, grammar, and communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to identify inconsistencies, errors, or missing information
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and other Microsoft Office tools
  • Comfortable speaking with clients and discussing personal or sensitive information professionally
  • Client-centered, patient, organized, and dependable
  • Able to manage multiple assignments and follow established processes
  • Able to work independently while also collaborating with attorneys and legal staff
  • Available to work in our Clifton office for at least 20 hours per week

Nice To Haves

  • Previous customer service, sales, intake, hospitality, or other client-facing experience
  • Experience working in a law firm or professional services environment
  • Experience communicating with clients by phone, email, and in person
  • Familiarity with trusts, wills, powers of attorney, healthcare directives, beneficiary designations, or estate planning questionnaires

Responsibilities

  • Assist attorneys and legal staff with estate planning matters
  • Review client information and estate planning questionnaires for accuracy and completeness
  • Help organize information relating to clients, family members, assets, beneficiaries, and appointed decision-makers
  • Prepare, review, and update documents, spreadsheets, client summaries, and internal records
  • Communicate with clients regarding the status of their matters, outstanding information, upcoming appointments, and next steps
  • Meet and communicate with clients by phone, email, video, and in person
  • Follow up with clients regarding missing information and outstanding items
  • Assist with estate planning signing ceremonies, including preparing documents, coordinating logistics, welcoming clients, and helping ensure the signing process runs smoothly
  • Help clients understand what is needed from them throughout the estate planning process
  • Enter and maintain accurate information in the firm’s systems
  • Assist with document preparation, quality control, and administrative support
  • Help ensure that clients receive clear, responsive, and professional service
