About The Position
The Legal Fellow will support the legal team by conducting research, drafting documents, and assisting with legal operations. This role offers hands-on experience in various areas of healthcare law, providing exposure to real-world legal matters in a professional setting.
Requirements
- Must be a graduate of an accredited law school within the previous 12 months
- Must be eligible to take the July Bar Exam in Virginia
- Juris Doctor (Required)
Responsibilities
- Conduct legal research and draft memoranda on a wide range of legal topics
- Assist in reviewing, organizing, and summarizing legal documents and contracts
- Support litigation efforts, including drafting pleadings, discovery responses, and legal correspondence
- Attend meetings, hearings, or depositions when applicable
- Maintain and update legal files and databases
- Monitor regulatory and legislative developments relevant to the organization
- Perform tasks to support special legal projects as needed
