Role Overview As a Legal Engineer at Newcode.ai, you are the critical bridge between our customers and our product & engineering team. You will embed yourself deeply into the workflows of lawyers and legal teams — building a genuine understanding of how they work and where AI can make a meaningful difference — then translate those insights into AI-powered solutions, optimised prompts, and structured workflows that deliver real, measurable value. You will serve as a strategic partner throughout the entire customer journey, guiding firms from onboarding through adoption, expansion, and long-term value realization, while acting as an internal advocate for their needs and a driving force behind our AI product development. At the same time, you will bring a commercial mindset to the role — owning customer relationships, identifying growth opportunities, and getting your hands dirty configuring and improving the product itself. In short, you are equally comfortable running a workshop with a law firm partner and contributing to a product meeting with our engineering team.

Requirements

  • Legal expertise
  • Experience in a legal environment (law firm, in-house, or legal tech), and a genuine curiosity for technology’s role in enabling new frontiers for law
  • A degree in law
  • Customer Success / Project management
  • Proven track record of implementation of AI in the legal sector, or of driving retention, expansion, and satisfaction in enterprise accounts
  • Experience facilitating workshops, onboarding, project management, and strategic account planning for customers
  • Tech fluency
  • You have a passion for tech, AI and automation, and you’re always eager to experiment and learn.
  • Analytical mindset, with the ability to structure ambiguous problems, evaluate AI outputs, and spot areas for improvement in legal processes
  • Strong data-driven mindset
  • Strong communication skills:
  • You excel at translating between legal and technical perspectives and working with diverse teams
  • High EQ and comfortable navigating C-level conversations and working with stakeholders across teams
  • Fluency in English

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with legal, product, and engineering teams to identify, scope, and implement AI-powered legal solutions with and for our partners and clients
  • Document solutions, create internal knowledge assets, and contribute to a bank of scalable legal engineering playbooks, helping supercharge our future growth
  • Lead onboarding and workshops for legal teams, supporting pilot projects and ensuring successful user adoption for new workflows and tools
  • Establish clear benchmarks and milestones with customers, track progress, and own renewals and expansion discussions — proactively identifying opportunities for growth within existing accounts.
  • Identify and implement use cases that align with customer goals
  • Drive measurable adoption by deeply understanding how lawyers work, translating those insights into solutions that deliver real, tangible value — and continuously refining them as needs evolve.
  • Serve as the internal voice of the customer — advocating for their needs, following through on feedback, and ensuring it shapes how our AI solutions and product develop
