About The Position

Legora is hiring a Legal Engineer to help sophisticated intellectual property teams—including IP boutiques, AmLaw IP groups, and in-house IP departments—get the most out of its AI-native legal workspace. The role spans legal operations, product specialization, solutions architecture, and client engagement. The successful candidate will bring practical IP knowledge and help clients apply technology across trademark and patent prosecution and litigation, copyright, privacy, advertising and media, and brand protection. The Legal Engineer will act as a thought partner to IP lawyers and teams, own client relationships in partnership with Go To Market and Customer Success, and help clients adopt Legora from pilots through onboarding and broader firm-wide use. They will represent IP users’ perspectives within Legora, informing product development and strategic priorities, and deliver product demonstrations and training tailored to different audiences and workflows. The role also involves documenting practices from leading IP teams, helping develop scalable playbooks, and guiding clients through the effects of AI on legal work, including prosecution, brand enforcement, portfolio management, and IP litigation. The position is based in an in-person Union Square office and involves collaboration with domestic and international teams and clients.

  • At least 3 years of legal practice at a law firm.
  • Technology-curious and product-savvy, with an interest in technical discussions, especially around generative AI, technology implementation, innovation, and productivity.
  • Clear, confident communication skills with diverse stakeholders, including IP partners, in-house counsel, lawyers, and engineers.
  • Ability to bring structure to ambiguity and remain an effective presence in a fast-moving environment.
  • Ability to evaluate and improve processes using new and emerging technologies.
  • Proactive, self-directed approach and comfort managing multiple client relationships at once.

  • Deliver product demonstrations and training for audiences ranging from individual partners to global IP groups and associates.
  • Document best practices from leading IP practices, contribute to scalable playbooks, and help develop the function globally.
  • Help IP teams assess the return on investment and competitive impact of AI and understand its effects on prosecution, brand enforcement, portfolio management, and IP litigation.

Benefits
