Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled Legal Assistant / Paralegal with strong drafting and motion practice experience to support a fast-paced law practice. This role is not entry-level and is suited for someone who can immediately produce high-quality legal work product with minimal supervision. This position requires U.S.-based drafting experience, strong legal judgment, and the ability to work independently. Training will be provided on firm-specific processes, but the foundational legal drafting and litigation experience must already be present.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule hearings, deadlines, and internal tasks
  • Communicate with clients professionally and clearly
  • Assist with motion practice
  • File motions and manage court filings
  • Draft legal documents including: Motions, Complaints, Contracts, Settlement agreements
  • Communicate with opposing counsel and other attorneys’ offices
  • Follow up on filings, deadlines, and outstanding items
  • Maintain organized files and systems
  • Escalate issues promptly when something is unclear or outside scope
  • Utilize AI tools intelligently (reviewing, correcting, and refining content — not copying and pasting)
