About The Position

SS&C GlobeOp, a division of SS&C Technologies, is the world’s largest fund administrator, entrusted with over $4 trillion in assets. As Legal Counsel you will join a team of attorneys and legal professionals working closely with key management, sales and other personnel in the alternative investment funds and private markets businesses. You will be drafting, negotiating and managing a wide range of revenue-generating contracts and initiatives, as well as providing ongoing support and counsel to these business units, both independently and in collaboration with other team members.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and active membership in at least one U.S. state bar.
  • Minimum of 3 years of in-house legal experience, preferably within financial services (e.g., fund administration, investment management, banking, or broker-dealer environments).
  • Demonstrated experience drafting, reviewing, redlining, and negotiating commercial contracts, with a proven track record of successfully managing contract negotiations and related transactions, including agreements involving: Confidentiality Liability and indemnification Information technology and intellectual property Data security and privacy
  • Strong judgment, professionalism, and the ability to work independently with confidence and initiative.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple competing responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with AI tools and technologies is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a wide range of legal agreements, including services agreements, vendor agreements, NDAs, side letters, novation and assignments, settlements and releases, data privacy agreements and other transactional documents.
  • Advising on legal obligations arising in connection with services contracts, as well as the review and resolution of legal-related issues and questions that arise with respect to the provision of fund administration services, including anti-money laundering (AML) regulations, data protection laws, jurisdiction specific regulations, securities and investment advisory laws.
  • Provide strategic counsel on commercial, compliance, and corporate matters, contribute to process and template improvements, and build strong relationships across the organization.
