About The Position

Bressler, Amery & Ross, P.C., a dynamic and rapidly growing law firm with a national practice, is seeking a Legal Assistant to join our Tax, Trusts & Estates Practice Group in our Florham Park, New Jersey office. This position will provide administrative and legal support to principals and associates within the practice group. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced professional environment. Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. (1-hour lunch break)

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of current legal assistant or legal secretarial experience in Tax, Trusts & Estates is required.
  • E-filing experience required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities with attention to detail.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and document management systems such as iManage.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience preparing or assisting with estate planning documents and probate-related materials strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Organize and maintain client files and estate planning documents.
  • Manage attorney calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate appointments.
  • Assist with the preparation, formatting, and revision of estate planning and probate documents including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, petitions, and related filings.
  • Draft and type correspondence, memoranda, and other legal documents.
  • Enter and manage attorney time entries.
  • Assist with electronic court filings and related administrative filings.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, courts, and external contacts.
  • Serve as a witness during will executions and estate document signings.
  • Perform Notary Public duties as required.
