About The Position

Direct Hire Legal Assistant | Litigation Join a fast-paced litigation team supporting attorneys through all phases of case management, from initial filings to trial preparation, while ensuring deadlines, documents, and logistics are handled with precision. This full-time, hybrid role based in Portland, OR offers the opportunity to play a key role in delivering high-quality, client-focused legal support.

Requirements

  • 3–8+ years of litigation support experience, with knowledge of court rules and filing procedures in Oregon and Washington (State and federal courts)
  • Strong organizational, time management, and prioritization skills, with the ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including meticulous proofreading and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in docketing/calendaring deadlines and coordinating complex schedules for hearings, depositions, and meetings
  • Self-motivated, proactive professional committed to continuous development and delivering high-quality, client-focused legal support

Responsibilities

  • Manage litigation files from case inception through trial, arbitration, or mediation, including organizing documents, maintaining electronic and physical files, and coordinating service and e-filing in state and federal courts.
  • Docket and track deadlines, ensuring compliance with Oregon and Washington court rules; proactively follow up with attorneys and verify accuracy of calculated deadlines.
  • Coordinate logistics for hearings, depositions, and meetings, including scheduling, preparing notices and correspondence, arranging conference rooms, and securing court reporters.
  • Support case administration tasks such as opening new matters, requesting conflict checks, proofreading legal documents, and ensuring all filings and communications are accurate, timely, and client-focused.
