Summary: The litigation legal assistant supports attorneys in managing high-volume commercial litigation and insurance defense cases, drafting documents, and ensuring smooth litigation processes. The role centers on managing case workflows, preparing litigation documents, coordinating with clients, carriers, and courts, and ensuring compliance with procedural rules. Document drafting & formatting: prepare and proofread pleadings, motions, discovery requests ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal standards. Court filings: handle state and federal filings and ensure compliance with local rules. Scheduling: managing litigation calendars, scheduling appointments, meetings, and court appearances in compliance with deadlines Client communication: serve as a liaison with clients, experts, and court personnel to coordinate schedules and gather information as needed. Other duties as assigned.
