About The Position

As a Legal and Compliance Coordinator, you will play a vital role in supporting the regional Legal and Compliance Department with legal and contractual matters. You will collaborate with regional leaders and MMA’s national legal team to provide advice and proactive support to colleagues within the region and ensure adherence to policies and state and federal regulations. You will also drive continuous improvement to the overarching Legal and Compliance Department and serve as a subject matter expert on national and regional policies, procedures, and best practices.

Requirements

  • Experience in contract management, paralegal work, or legal and compliance roles.
  • Basic understanding of contract development, standards, and language.
  • Familiarity with managing contract life cycle including review, negotiation, administration, and occasional drafting of various agreements (e.g., client service, non-disclosure, vendor) while ensuring compliance with MMA standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Continuously stays up to date on legislative and regulatory changes and maintains clear internal documentation and procedures.
  • Collaborating with internal teams to ensure regional legal best practices align with national standards and to identify necessary communication updates for internal teams and clients.
  • Demonstrated ability to model change management best practices, applying principles across projects and client interactions to engage cross-functional teams, assess stakeholder impact, and recommend strategies for successful adoption while using project planning and tracking tools to keep stakeholders informed of milestones and progress.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, SharePoint, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Experience within the insurance brokerage industry
