About The Position

We are looking for a Legal Analyst to join our team at Bluefors in Syracuse, NY. In this role, you will provide legal and administrative support to the Chief Business Officer while partnering with managers and teams across the organization to support corporate legal operations, contract management, regulatory compliance, and export compliance. Your responsibilities will include conducting legal research and analyzing statutes, regulations, and legal publications that impact the business while providing written summaries and recommendations. You will review, analyze, and manage a variety of contracts and agreements, including customer and supplier terms and conditions, NDAs, and agreements governed by FAR, DFARS, CFR, and other contracting regulations. In addition, you will support contract lifecycle management by implementing and maintaining tracking systems, alerts, and document management processes, while ensuring contractual terms align with company policies and procedures. You will also collaborate cross-functionally to support regulatory and corporate compliance programs, manage export compliance activities, coordinate internal and external audits, maintain legal records and databases, and provide training to employees on legal processes and contracting best practices.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree and Paralegal Certificate from an ABA-approved program required.
  • Minimum of three years of experience as a Paralegal, Legal Assistant, or in Legal Operations.
  • Experience working in corporate or tax law with significant contract review experience.
  • Strong understanding of contract management principles and legal documentation.
  • Experience researching and interpreting statutes, regulations, and legal guidance.
  • Knowledge of FAR, DFARS, CFR, export regulations, and other applicable compliance requirements.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
  • Experience maintaining legal databases and document management systems.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments.
  • Excellent command of English, both written and spoken.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for export compliance and ensure compliance with applicable export regulations.
  • Evaluate and validate export opportunities for regulatory compliance.
  • Support internal and external audits and compliance reporting activities.
  • Develop, maintain, and organize legal records, contracts, databases, and document management systems.
  • Generate reports and convert complex legal data into clear, meaningful information.
  • Provide training and guidance on legal processes, contract management, and compliance best practices.
  • Escalate significant legal or financial risks to appropriate leadership.
