About The Position

Latham & Watkins is seeking a Legal AI Innovation Analyst to join their Technology & Innovation team. This role will support the Special Technical Projects section by collecting, organizing, analyzing, and visualizing data for technical projects overseen by the Manager of Legal Innovation and broader team initiatives. The position is based in the Global Services Office in downtown Los Angeles and may offer a flexible working schedule with a hybrid and in-office presence.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
  • A minimum of two (2) years of experience in technology roles or other business services positions requiring significant technical skills, preferably.
  • Demonstrate the ability to learn and apply new technologies quickly, with a willingness to develop expertise in emerging AI tools and platforms.
  • Exhibit the ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a collaborative team environment.
  • Possess strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with attorneys, technology colleagues, and administrative staff.

Responsibilities

  • Creating and maintaining automated and semi-automated workflows.
  • Performing manual tasks as needed when full automation is not feasible.
  • Testing features and workflows within the firm’s AI and legal technology tools, particularly Harvey, and documenting results while providing feedback.
  • Supporting research and development efforts to identify opportunities for AI enhancement and understand system limitations.
  • Staying current with advances in artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities and legal technology applications.
  • Working closely with the Manager of Legal Innovation to ensure alignment with broader AI innovation objectives.
  • Protecting and maintaining any highly sensitive, confidential, privileged, financial, and/or proprietary information that Latham & Watkins retains.
