The Indiana University Luddy School of Informatics, Computing, and Engineering in Indianapolis invites applications for one full-time lecturer-track faculty position in the Department of Library and Information Science. The appointment will begin on August 1, 2027. This 10-month appointment (August through May) is annually renewable, based upon satisfactory performance. Additional compensation is available for candidates interested in teaching during the summer months. A committed educator is sought to join our department on the Indianapolis campus. We are interested in candidates with one or more of the following areas of expertise: Digital preservation & web archiving, Electronic records management, Archival intelligence, Database and asset management. Candidates must have experience effectively teaching in an online environment and five or more years of professional (industry) experience in one or more areas of expertise listed above. A deep understanding of career opportunities in the information professions and a passion for graduate student mentoring for academic and professional success is necessary. Ideal candidates will also shape their teaching in ways that leverage the unique strengths of Luddy Indianapolis, including its interdisciplinary and collaborative environment and commitment to service and community engagement. We especially welcome candidates who bring direct experience or novel approaches to incorporating generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) (and related tools) to enhance student learning.
