About The Position
The Global Languages and Cultures Department seeks an instructor to teach 1-2 sections of all levels of Spanish, including foundational literature and culture courses. The professor is expected to be able to teach in any possible teaching modality (face-to-face, online synchronous, online asynchronous) to fulfill specific department needs as they arise.
Requirements
- A master's degree from an accredited institution in the language of specialization (Arabic, ASL, Chinese, French, Mixtec, or Spanish) or a related field.
- Experience in teaching the language of specialization.
- Near-native or native fluency in both the language of specialization and English.
- A record of teaching effectiveness that reflects communicative language teaching practices
- Applicants should demonstrate the ability to effectively engage with a broad student population and provide mentorship that supports student academic success.

Responsibilities
