About The Position

The Psychology and Child Development Department in the College of Liberal Arts at California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, invites applications for a one-year, full-time (Non-tenure-track) lecturer appointment in Psychology beginning August 17, 2026 with the possibility of a one-year extension to AY 27/28 contingent on budget, department need, and satisfactory evaluations. The successful candidate will have a master's degree with a specialization in clinical/counseling and/or multicultural psychology and teach PSY3372 (Multicultural Psychology) and PSY3323 (The Helping Relationship). The expected teaching load is 4 courses per semester with potential summer teaching opportunities. We seek a teacher committed to excellence in undergraduate instruction and Cal Poly’s Learn by Doing philosophy.

Requirements

  • A master's degree with a specialization in clinical/counseling and/or multicultural psychology or related field.
  • Teaching experience in multicultural or clinical/counseling psychology.
