About The Position

The College of Professional Studies at Northeastern University invites applications for a non-tenure-track, part-time faculty lecturer in Analytics on the Arlington campus. The College provides undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral programs on campus and online. The Analytics program develops foundational analytics skills among working professionals through experiential learning connected to professional applications in the workforce. Its curriculum includes data preparation and analysis, forecasting, optimization, visualization, and data storytelling, preparing students for general entry- and mid-level analyst roles. The position requires working with global student populations. Applicants must be able to maintain valid U.S. work authorization throughout the appointment without visa sponsorship from Northeastern University. The rate is $2,086.44 per credit.

Requirements

Master’s degree in an aligned discipline.
Analytics-industry experience.
Demonstrated teaching, coaching, and/or training.
Ability to maintain valid U.S. work authorization throughout the appointment without Northeastern University visa sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

PhD in a science field or similar.
A history of successful graduate-level teaching, online and/or on ground.

Responsibilities

Teach in the Analytics program, including instructional areas such as probability and statistics, data exploration and visualization, database management systems, leadership and risk management in analytics, business support, and predictive analytics.
Work with global student populations.
Develop pedagogy and curriculum in ways that reflect and enhance belonging in the university community.
