About The Position

Montcalm Meats Inc. is seeking a diligent Électromécanicien (Maintenance Electromechanic) to ensure the preventive and corrective maintenance of our production equipment. Located in Anjou, Montreal, this full-time, permanent position operates on a day shift schedule from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with occasional Saturday availability based on operational needs. The role is situated in a refrigerated warehouse and food production line environment. The Électromécanicien will play a key role in reducing machine downtime, requiring a high degree of autonomy, resourcefulness, and excellent stress management skills.

Requirements

  • DEP or DEC in Electromechanics of Automated Systems or Industrial Maintenance.
  • Relevant experience in a manufacturing or agri-food environment (a major asset).
  • Proficiency in reading plans, electricity, and mechanics.
  • Autonomy, initiative, sense of priorities, and excellent analytical skills.
  • Effective communication skills in French.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues on production machinery.
  • Perform periodic inspections and preventive maintenance according to the established schedule.
  • Propose solutions to improve equipment performance and reliability.
  • Complete maintenance reports and strictly adhere to HACCP / SQF food safety standards.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety standards (SST) during all interventions.
