Under the responsibility of the maintenance supervisor, the incumbent will be responsible for carrying out various maintenance and repair work on equipment for the different lines. Note that there are 2 salary progressions in the first year. Starting salary at $40.25/h Evening shift premium of $1.25/h and night shift premium of $1.75/h Schedule: Night 3.2.2.3.

Requirements

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar position.
  • Post-secondary education in a related field (electromechanics, automation, etc.).
  • Proficiency with common computer tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and analytical mind.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Initiative, proactivity, and excellent work organization skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Possess an electrical certificate (Class C license) (an asset).
  • Training and experience with PLC (an asset).

Responsibilities

  • Proceed with the installation, maintenance, and mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic repair of equipment for the different packaging and production lines.
  • Execute work according to established priorities, equipment availability, and required materials.
  • Facilitate meeting deadlines and the efficiency of production and packaging of dairy products.
  • Communicate the progress of work and projects to concerned individuals.
  • Perform inspection and preventive maintenance of equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair equipment during breakdowns to ensure production objectives are met.
  • Provide training to plant employees, as needed.
  • Work with external companies to complete projects.
  • Perform electrical installations.
  • Perform breakdown analyses and suggest measures to improve process efficiency.
  • Sanitary welding (TIG).
  • Ensure planned work is carried out according to schedules and perform all other related tasks.
