Requirements

Experience in working with the public and/or sales.
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
Fair Housing Certification, or willingness to obtain before interacting with prospective residents.
Ability to support and contribute to the community team.
Demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills.
Operate telephone, personal computer/keyboard, Microsoft Office including Word and MS Outlook, and community software.
Must possess a positive attitude and the ability to smile under all circumstances.
Participate in training to comply with new or existing laws.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
Two (2) years experience in previous relevant customer service.
Neat, clean, and professional throughout the workday and/or whenever present in the community.
Comply with expectations as demonstrated in the employee handbook.

Responsibilities

Greet prospects and qualify them by covering all criteria.
Prepare move-in packages and lease paperwork.
Record all telephone and in-person visits on appropriate reports and maintain guest cards.
Inspect models and available "market ready" units and communicate related service needs to the Community Manager.
Have the prospect complete the application and secure a deposit according to procedures and Fair Housing requirements.
Update the availability report and process applications for approval (e.g., credit check, rental history).
Submit processed applications to the Community Manager for approval.
Assist in monitoring renewals, distribute, and follow up on renewal notices.
Monitor advertising effectiveness and gather information about market competition.
Professionally represent the company at all times.
Accept rental payments and give them immediately to the Assistant Community Manager.
Type leases, complete appropriate paperwork, and input information on the Yardi System accurately and on time.
Review leases with the Community Manager before obtaining signatures.
Assist the management team with other various tasks as required.
Consistently implement policies of the community.
Diffuse and respond to customer concerns to avoid escalation of the problem.
