About The Position

The Leasing Assistant supports the leasing team in all day-to-day leasing and resident relations activities at an 199 unit apartment complex in Centerton. Working under the direction of the Property Manager, this role plays a key part in maintaining occupancy goals, delivering exceptional customer service, and helping prospective and current residents feel at home from the very first interaction. Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent GED is required.
  • A minimum of one year of previous experience in a sales or customer service role is required.
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license is required.

Nice To Haves

  • A Certified Apartment Leasing Professional (CALP) certification is preferred but not required.
  • Previous experience with property management software is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Support all leasing activity, including greeting and qualifying prospects, conducting tours, processing applications and lease documents, and following up with prospective residents via phone, email, text, and social media.
  • Deliver quality customer service to current and prospective residents throughout the entire leasing lifecycle, from initial inquiry through move-in and beyond.
  • Assist with resident retention efforts, including sending renewal notices, conducting door-to-door follow-up, and participating in resident events and activities.
  • Confirm units are move-in ready by walking apartments the day before and identifying any outstanding maintenance needs; create, follow up on, and close out service requests in the system.
  • Maintain the physical condition of the property through weekly walks of common areas, patios, pool gates, fencing, and lighting to identify any hazards or cleanliness concerns.
  • Complete administrative tasks including market surveys, rent posting, bank runs, and daily task planning to support organized and efficient property operations.
  • Exhibit exemplary attendance, punctuality, and compliance with all company policies and procedures.
