We’re looking for a talented leasing consultant who will be responsible for coordinating all activities related to apartment rentals, move-ins, move-outs, and lease renewals. The leasing consultant is also responsible for interacting directly with prospective and current residents to achieve maximum occupancy and ensure resident retention and client satisfaction. This role requires the ability to focus on the needs of others by listening, understanding, and showing empathy and respect, ensuring excellent customer service and promoting a quality living experience for all. The consultant will generate and handle traffic, qualify prospective residents, lease apartments, prepare lease documentation, and complete move-in paperwork and processes. They will ensure model apartments are in touring condition, orient prospective and current residents to the property, and process renewal paperwork. Maintaining accurate and detailed records of traffic activity, following up with prospective residents, and converting phone traffic into scheduled appointments are also key. The consultant will inspect apartments prior to resident move-ins, coordinate with the maintenance team, create and maintain confidential resident files, and complete weekly leasing reports. They will assist with ongoing resident relations, shop competitive properties, inspect buildings and grounds for safety and cleanliness, and assist with processing work order requests. Additionally, the role involves providing clerical support such as answering phone calls, filing, and processing property invoices, and may include assisting with planning and implementing resident activities to increase retention. Compliance with all company policies, health and safety rules, and applicable laws is required.
