About The Position

This seasonal position, potentially ending on July 31, 2026, is for a Leasing Consultant at BH, a people-first multifamily owner and operator. The role's mission is to respond to inquiries from prospective clients, identify potential renters, market, lease, and renew apartment leases in accordance with Company standards and Fair Housing guidelines, and provide excellent customer service. The Leasing Consultant will exhibit a strong commitment to the service needs of internal and external customers and represent the company in a professional and courteous manner. The position is responsible for ensuring the daily marketing, administrative, and financial operation of the property under the direction of the Community Manager.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a customer-facing/customer service role
  • Demonstrated sales and closing skills
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work with a diverse group of people
  • Where required by law, must have state leasing license or ability to obtain the required license(s) within the timeframe required by law

Responsibilities

  • Respond to inquiries/leads from prospective clients to identify potential renters, market, lease, and renew apartment leases in accordance with Company standards and Fair Housing guidelines.
  • Provide excellent customer service and exhibit a strong commitment to the service needs of internal and external customers.
  • Represent the company in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Ensure the daily marketing, administrative, and financial operation of the property under the direction of the Community Manager.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of the community and local market competitor's specials and floor plans.
  • Have comprehensive working knowledge of all aspects of leasing units and documents in accordance with Company standards and Fair Housing guidelines.
  • Process lease application paperwork for the approval of the CM and prepare new lease contracts.
  • Inspect all target and/or show units in advance and in preparation of greeting and touring new prospects.
  • Tour prospects, which may include vacant or model units and common/amenity areas of the property.
  • Inspect pre-leased apartments prior to the move-in date and promptly communicate any concerns to the Service Manager or Community Manager.
  • Understand, utilize, and promote all third-party online leasing programs appropriately.
  • Ensure timely and accurate logging of all prospect information and notifications into the Property Management software.
  • Check, respond to, and document community and individual emails, voicemails, and text messages.
  • Stay up to date with all promotion/leasing incentives.
  • Assist with completing Move Out Vacant Inspection Checklist (MOVIC) accurately and within the specified deadline per Company standards.
  • Post notices to vacate and other community communication, if applicable.
  • Assist with daily community inspections to ensure community policies are being followed and addressing, if applicable.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
