About The Position

CAPREIT is seeking an enthusiastic Leasing Consultant for its Westwood Tower apartment community in Bethesda, Maryland. The role focuses on providing exceptional service to prospective residents, building relationships, and helping people find a home. The Leasing Consultant also supports the Community Manager with leasing, administrative, and community operations tasks while contributing to occupancy and retention goals. The position pays $23.00 per hour and follows a Monday-through-Friday schedule, with occasional weekends as needed for leasing and community events.

Requirements

• Three to five years of multifamily housing experience.
• Strong customer service and sales skills.
• Excellent communication and follow-up abilities.
• Valid driver’s license to operate a company vehicle or golf cart.
• Experience with property management software such as RealPage, OneSite, Entrata, or Yardi, or ability to learn such software.
• Working knowledge of current technologies and Microsoft Office.
• Customer-focused and service-driven approach.
• Energetic and outgoing demeanor.
• Organized and detail-oriented work style.
• Motivation by goals and results.
• Passion for creating a positive resident experience.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet and qualify prospective residents.
• Conduct community tours and highlight community features and benefits.
• Assist prospective residents with the application process.
• Participate in marketing and outreach activities.
• Follow up with prospects throughout the leasing process.
• Process rental applications in a timely manner.
• Answer resident and prospect inquiries.
• Manage resident and prospect follow-up.
• Complete administrative and leasing-related tasks.
• Contribute to occupancy and retention goals.
• Support leasing and community events on occasional weekends as needed.
