About The Position

Dominium is seeking a motivated Leasing Consultant to join our team at Swiss View and Swiss Ridge, two adjacent apartment communities totaling 116 units in Nashville, TN. This role blends customer service and sales, with a primary focus on leasing apartments. The ideal candidate will excel at engaging with customers through various channels (phone, in-person, online), presenting properties, building rapport, conducting tours according to company standards, and following up with prospective residents. Key responsibilities include adhering to Fair Housing guidelines, maintaining a professional appearance, documenting interactions in PMS software, and assisting customers with application completion in line with company policies.

Requirements

  • High School or equivalent education.
  • Sales and / or other customer service experience preferred.
  • Experiences that translate well include hospitality, restaurant and retail.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to communicate in English both orally and in writing.
  • Well-developed people skills.
  • An ability to work with a variety of personalities and situations in a friendly outgoing and professional manner.
  • Basic math skills for calculating rent payments, deposits, application fees, pet fees, interest, etc.
  • Proficient in Microsoft office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Reasoning ability, and the ability to focus on established goals and sales requirements.
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends, including 7 days a week as needed.
  • May require a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

  • Greets and assists prospective residents via phone, email, text, and in person; build rapport and provide property tours.
  • Presents available units, closes leases following company standards, and conducts timely follow-up with prospects who do not lease immediately.
  • Inspects and ensures homes scheduled for tours are clean and presentable daily, and walks the tour path to maintain its cleanliness and appeal.
  • Maintains familiarity with property features, local schools, hospitals, banks, shopping, transportation, and amenities, and effectively communicates this information to prospects.
  • Adheres to Fair Housing laws; completes Guest Cards for every interaction and accurately enters data in Yardi PMS software.
  • Guides customers through application completion and collects required documentation for affordable housing eligibility.
  • Participates in off-site marketing activities and traffic-generating initiatives to support occupancy goals.
  • Supports community events, assists with resident retention efforts, and completes projects assigned by the supervisor.
