About The Position

The Leasing Consultant plays a critical role in driving occupancy and delivering an exceptional resident experience. This role is responsible for leasing apartments, engaging prospective residents, and supporting current residents—all while delivering a high-energy, sales-driven, and customer-focused experience.

Requirements

  • Strong customer service and sales skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively (written and verbal)
  • Basic to intermediate math skills
  • Comfortable using computers and property management systems
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Reliable, punctual, and professional

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous leasing, sales, or customer service experience
  • Experience in student housing or multifamily is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Greet and engage prospective residents, delivering an exceptional first impression
  • Conduct property tours of model units, available apartments, and amenities
  • Convert leads into leases through strong closing techniques
  • Respond to phone, email, and internet inquiries promptly
  • Assist prospects with the online application and leasing process
  • Maintain strong closing ratios and contribute to occupancy goals
  • Deliver outstanding service aligned with the B.HOM playbook
  • Build relationships with residents and prospects
  • Support resident retention through positive engagement and service
  • Utilize marketing strategies to drive traffic and leasing activity
  • Maintain detailed and accurate prospect traffic and leasing data
  • Assist with market surveys and competitor analysis
  • Support resident events and community engagement initiatives
  • Prepare and audit lease files and documentation for accuracy
  • Collect deposits and move-in fees
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Assist with move-ins, move-outs, and unit inspections
  • Submit and track service requests as needed
  • Assist with unit inspections and readiness for move-in
  • Support the turn process between residents
  • Maintain cleanliness and presentation of office, model units, and common areas
