About The Position
Van Metre is hiring a Leasing Consultant at Broadlands Apartments in Ashburn, Virginia. The role focuses on building productive, positive relationships with current and prospective residents to support customer satisfaction, occupancy, and retention while upholding Van Metre’s mission, vision, and values. Leasing Consultants represent the property and contribute to the community’s success through leasing, customer service, sales, resident engagement, and property inspections. Compensation is $20.00–$21.00 per hour, commensurate with experience, education, training, and skills, with annual bonus potential of $5,000 paid quarterly and renewal and leasing commissions. Weekend work is required.
Requirements
- Previous experience in customer service, sales, hospitality, or a related field.
- Ability to conduct community and apartment inspections indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities
- Welcome visitors to the community, answer questions, and provide assistance.
- Conduct sales activities, including grassroots marketing, to increase traffic and occupancy.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of the property and its amenities and serve as a resource for current and prospective residents.
- Build relationships with prospective residents through phone and email follow-up, property tours, and rental application processing.
- Provide customer service to residents, address concerns, and conduct lease renewals.
- Monitor service requests and coordinate with the service team and residents to support timely and adequate resolution.
- Plan, organize, and conduct resident events with the team.
- Complete three exterior community inspections each week and report deficiencies, such as landscaping or paint needs and property damage.
- Inspect vacant apartments and report needed repairs to the service team to maintain product quality.
- Complete sales administration tasks and reports, including market surveys.
- Perform other sales, customer service, and property-related tasks as needed.
