About The Position

Morguard is a fully integrated real estate company specializing in high-quality, well-located, multifamily assets across North America. The company is seeking a high-performing, sales-driven Leasing Consultant to join its onsite residential team in Downtown Chicago. This full-time role, up to 40 hours per week, involves working directly with residents and prospective residents to ensure an excellent experience with the properties. The ideal candidate will have direct residential leasing experience, preferably within the Chicagoland residential high-rise market. The position requires handling incoming calls, online and in-person traffic, coordinating property tours, leasing apartments, and preparing leasing files. The consultant will also contribute to marketing strategies, outreach, resident events, and file audits. Weekend shifts, specifically Saturdays, are required, with the Leasing Office operating from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM on weekdays and 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM on Saturdays.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma required
  • Direct Multi-family Industry experience (1-2 years)
  • Strong administrative and organization skills
  • Thorough attention to detail (for lease administration)
  • Strong computer proficiency
  • An excellent attitude and willingness to learn
  • Resolve to provide prompt and friendly service

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Previous experience in the Chicagoland high rise leasing environment is preferred
  • Direct experience with Yardi or Onesite is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Handle incoming calls, online, and in-person traffic
  • Coordinate and lead property tours
  • Lease apartments
  • Prepare leasing files for approval and renewals
  • Work with the team to develop leasing marketing strategies
  • Participate in outreach marketing
  • Participate in resident events
  • Participate in leasing file audits
  • Greet all residents and prospective residents who visit or call the Leasing Office
  • Stay informed on the surrounding market, community amenities, and floor plans available
  • Communicate with prospective residents to schedule apartment tours, assess their rental needs, and guide them through the leasing path to view prepared model units and onsite amenities
  • Perform market surveys of the surrounding market & relay to the Community Manager
  • Invite all prospects to complete and sign lease documents
  • Collect qualifying information and follow leasing protocol to prepare lease files for review and audit
