About The Position

Morguard is a fully integrated real estate company that strategically invests in high-quality, well-located, multifamily assets across North America. The company is seeking a high-performing Leasing Consultant with a proven sales track record who enjoys working with residents to ensure an excellent experience with their properties. This is a full-time opportunity to join their onsite residential team in Downtown Chicago, specifically within the Chicagoland residential high-rise market. The role involves handling incoming calls, online and in-person traffic, coordinating and leading property tours, leasing apartments, and preparing leasing files for approval and renewals. The Leasing Consultant will also work with the team to develop leasing marketing strategies, fully participate in outreach marketing, resident events, and leasing file audits. The position requires Saturday shifts and offers employer-provided benefits, quarterly bonuses up to 5% of the annual salary, and commissions on new leases. The compensation for this role is $23-$24 per hour. The Leasing Office operates from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM on weekdays and 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM on Saturdays, with weekend shifts being required.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma required
  • Direct Multi-family Industry experience (1-2 years)
  • Strong administrative and organization skills
  • Thorough attention to detail (for lease administration onsite)
  • Strong computer proficiency
  • An excellent attitude and willingness to learn
  • A resolve to provide prompt and friendly service

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Previous experience in the Chicagoland high rise leasing environment is preferred
  • Direct experience with Yardi or Onesite is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Handle incoming calls as well as online and in-person traffic
  • Coordinate and lead property tours
  • Lease apartments
  • Prepare leasing files for approval and renewals
  • Work with the team to develop leasing marketing strategies
  • Fully participate with outreach marketing
  • Fully participate with resident events
  • Fully participate with leasing file audits
  • Greet all residents and prospective residents who visit or call the Leasing Office
  • Stay informed on the surrounding market, community amenities, and floor plans available
  • Communicate with prospective residents to schedule apartment tours, assess their rental needs, and guide them through the leasing path to view prepared model units and onsite amenities
  • Perform market surveys of the surrounding market & relay to the Community Manager
  • Invite all prospects to complete and sign lease documents
  • Collect qualifying information and follow leasing protocol to prepare lease files for review and audit
